If you're trying to take a day off of school , get out of work, avoid the in-laws, or have to play the role of a sick person in a play, faking an illness is easier than you think. If you don't look the part, you will have a hard time convincing anybody of your fake illness. By changing your appearance, modifying your attitude and voice, and knowing what symptoms to imitate for different illnesses, you can look convincingly sick to others and take some time for yourself without having to suffer. If you want to look sick, make sure to pick a single illness, like a migraine or diarrhea, and stick to it. Since migraines have no symptoms that can be seen, others will have to rely on your story to believe you. No matter the illness, wrap yourself in blankets and shiver or shake slightly, as sick people often feel hot and cold at the same time.
