PHOENIX AP -- A sex offender who posed as a year-old boy to enroll in Arizona schools has pleaded guilty to seven criminal charges, two stemming from the charade he pulled for two years, and will go to prison for more than 70 years, a prosecutor said Wednesday. Authorities didn't find any victims of sexual abuse at the schools year-old Neil Havens Rodreick II attended. But when Rodreick's ruse was discovered in January , they found an extensive collection of child pornography at his home. Rodreick had originally faced 28 counts, but pleaded guilty to only a quarter of them Friday in Yavapai County Superior Court in northern Arizona, according to a plea agreement document obtained Wednesday.
RCMP say they have charged a Dartmouth man with six historical sexual assaults stemming from the s. They say the incidents occurred in Walton between and , and the female victims ranged in age from 5 to 19 at the time of the offences. Snow also made a court appearance that day after being charged with one count of committing an indecent act stemming from an incident earlier this year. He was arrested on February 14, after police received a report that a group of children tobogganing in the Maplehurst Drive area of Dartmouth saw a man in a window of an apartment building masturbating. Police say those offences occurred from October 1, to February 11, , primarily near school grounds, public parks and daycares throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality with one occurring in Milford, Nova Scotia.
Known Halifax sex offender facing additional charges
A Halifax man who is a convicted sex offender is facing more charges following an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a child over a three-year period. Halifax Regional Police say they received a report on Jan. Police say the case involves several incidents over three years. James Michael Snow, 58, was arrested in Halifax on Wednesday and faces charges of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
